Trinidad is a municipality located in the south coast of Sancti Spiritus province, it was the third village founded by the Spanish people.

Itinerary

At 9:00 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Trinidad, and we will leave for our destination: the Topes de Collantes natural park.

We will start the tour in the best way, stopping at El Mirador, a panoramic point at 500 meters above sea level and from where you can admire a beautiful view of the Valle de los Ingenios, Trinidad and the Caribbean Sea.

After hearing some details about the history of this place, we will continue the tour for another 8 kilometers through Topes de Collantes, one of the largest protected areas in Cuba.

We will make a stop in the community of the same name, where we will learn about the main sources of income for its inhabitants, and we will visit a coffee plantation where three varieties are grown: arabica, robusta and canéfora or liberica.

We will get back in the vehicle to head towards Vegas Grande, at which point we will start a hiking route of moderate difficulty to get to know the flora and fauna of the region, and learn about the medicinal plants. At the end of the walk and as a reward for the effort, a beautiful waterfall awaits us where you can take a refreshing bath.

We will walk back to the beginning of the trail, where the vehicle will be waiting for us to take us to enjoy a delicious typical lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will return to Trinidad and we will drop you off at your hotel around 3:00 p.m.
